It’s been a few months since the last release from Micro-Fibres. But as they say, all good things are worth waiting
for. After Italian outfit Re:Up took the lead on the previous release, it’s the turn of label boss Marc Antona to step
up to the plate on. The French producer has always been at the sharp end of all things whirling. On this release
however, Marc effortlessly and superbly mixes raw, organic sounds with his trademark electronic touch.
A Side 'Hawah' see's Marc team up with exciting young talent Xiki. Resident of Ibiza, Xiki surely brings some
sunshine and party’s vibe to Hawah.Warm pulsating synth, and popping, housey bassline lead the way. As the
synth develops, its power and intensity increase, whilst constantly wrapped in the lo slung comfort of the track's
groove. Never peaking, yet full of drama, 'Hawah' is a sure fire hit for the summer floors and beyond.
On AA Side 'Kip Kop', Marc is flying solo. A stripped back, percussive masterpiece is the best description of
this hypnotic workout. Funky stick work, polished hats and an ever- present chime, lead us to the crispest of
snares. The faintest of guitar riffs and a whole bag of sounds, make this a really organic funk-fest.
Marc Antona, Xiki and Micro-Fibres deliver one of the freshest singles of the summer, and one we are certain is
going to pick major support throughout 2009!
