The debut long player from Timm Sure and Ampo AKA COYOTE. Both met while djing at the legendary Venus nightclub in Nottingham in the early nineties, and have been djing for the last 20 years. They set up their label is it Balearic? recordings in 2007 as an outlet for their left of centre productions & have tapped into a stellar line-up of remixers to boot. So far the label has had 7 releases including remixes from Phoreski, Aeroplane, Max Essa, Rune Lindbaek, Windsurf, and Justin Robertson. Positioned gingerly betwixt their early origins as house aficionadoes and their new found position as chillmasters extraordinaire, two ageing ravers with fruity names (Ampo and Timm) have slowly been establishing their label as one of the leading post-Ibiza downtempo labels in Europe. This album cements that reputation with a sound that, though languid, demands attention and is psychedelic enough to have been recorded somewhere outside Phnom Penh by recovering Vietnam vets. COYOTE is veritably the Last Of The Summer Wine for the rave generation: horizontal disco at its best. Is it Balearic? It most certainly is (Bill Brewster)
