You can almost imagine them as a pair of alchemists, stirring together the most unlikely musical ingredients in their electronic witches' kitchen with fiendish delight and turning them into the purest, finest gold.That's the way it is with their brand new and third BPC release, the 4-track digital EP God Is Fading. As if it were the most natural thing in the world and for Skinnerbox, perhaps it is Olaf and Iftah combine marvellous driving house beats and bass lines, prickly percussion, sparkling synth arpeggios and weirdly playful souvenirs of silent films into epic electronica artworks that strike an equal balance of catchiness and originality. Skinnerbox left behind simple dance floor functionality long ago. All four, previously released tracks on "God Is Fading" are pure cerebral cinema with a dramatic plot and a final twist!
