Considered to be one of the most exciting new talents coming out of the techno scene, Milan born Dema drops his first release on the influential SCI+TEC label in the form of the ‘Framing EP’. With previous support from techno heavyweights such as Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox and Paco Osuna, it’s no wonder Dubfire snapped up this two-track slab of dance floor damage for his unremitting imprint output.
Opening track ‘Framing’ breathes new life into SCI+TEC’s impressively tight production aesthetic, as the constant, resounding low end gets overlaid with crunchy percussion, incoming interference and a groove-tinged, almost there vocal sample. ‘Subway’ rolls along fervently on parallel tracks, its intricate layering creating a more organic, living breathing quality to the drive.
