Revealed with his first 'Heather Country', published by ZeECc last year and played by best techno DJ like Kirk DeGiorgio, Zoltan Solomon is back with a new 4 tracks EP entitled 'Forgotten Instinct'. This main title is also the name of the first track, which immerges you directly in his own vision of what dub-techno must be. Force is probably the ideal word to describe the wanted effect by this artist from Budapest in Hungary. Emotion is the second one and this one will guide you during the 4 last minutes of this pure dancefloor track. 'Cortinaz' is clearly softer but retains all the best elements of his music, with a loud compression and with a special fineness on harmonies. 'Teso' keeps this way, with some hypnotic chords and with a perfect use of filters during more than 9 minutes. To conclude 'Ret' just seems out of nowhere and, even if the introduction could confuse more than one, the power of this track is undeniable. The treatment of the effects is constant, shifting in time and making them succeed different atmospheres and grooves, between dub, techno and experimental sounds....
