The Subdermic - Electric Cabaret is heavily distorted emotive techno reminiscent of the production technique of Martin Hannet (Joy Division) and the sonic soul of early Derrick May records. Coined as "Gothic Basement Techno" by Dave Clarke (who also charted this track at #1 of his best of 2010 radio plays) this track proves that techno is so much more than lightweight dance floor tools to make people do a little wiggle. Techno rising star Trust The Machine and me (Rolf Mulder) are responsible for the remixes. I can tell you from personal experience, being given such a brilliant piece of music and having my way with it is as intimidating and challenging as it can get.
