Not many may realise that when Estroe talks about 'Nightshift', she actually experienced hectic and heavy nightshifts in the hospital when she still worked as a nurse. This whole release is about night, darkness, illness and sleeping. Duisteritis is a small word joke in Dutch and means being dark, having a dark illness. Nightshift speaks for itself and Slaapliedje means 'lullaby'. The songs all refer to Estroes hospital period. Producing music then was a good way to ventilate work stress, and express compassion....
