German duo Lissat & Voltax return to Great Stuff Recordings to revisit a hard dance classic from yesteryear. Quench"s Dreams was an enduring classic in several different guises since its emergence back in 2000, but these guys have breathed new life into this anthem with their 2012 interpretation.
All the key elements are intact - that cutting, dark main riff, those epic bells, eerie chanting pad sounds and the moody vocal - and are bolstered to a template of rolling, driving beats and percussion which provide the perfect backbone for these classic sounds. The synths snarl, the hi-hats shuffle, the bells resonate, and a simple bassline keeps the track pumping without distracting from the main motifs.
If you never heard the original, we're pretty jealous that this will be the first time you've heard this classic - and if it's a track you know and love already, this slick new interpretation should bring back a lot of spine-tingling melodies...
