As the Northern Hemisphere batons down the hatches for a cold winter, the sun is shining in Australia and
music fans from all walks of life and persuasions are gearing up for the busy summer festival season.
This vibrant culture has always underpinned the Open Records sound and what we do, and what better way to
celebrate it than a brand new CD compilation?
Depth Perception, compiled by Open Records label DJs Solatek and Paul Abad, is currently in the final stages
of production, set for a release in early 2011.
Featuring tracks by international superstars like Mark Henning, Seph and Fiord, alongside some fresh Aussie
talent including Rex N Chappo, Closer Apart and Waltone, the compilation will be another step forward for
Open Records after the success of 2010's Expansion Pack.
In anticipation of Depth Perceptions release, we are proud to announce the first single by Canadian artists
Subfractal, aptly titled Down The Rabbit Hole.
Deep, dark and brooding techno at its best, Down The Rabbit Hole showcases the talents of this talented duo,
fresh from releases on labels like Respekt, Sleaze, Bosphorus Underground, Frequenza and Brood Audio.
Australias own Blinky provides the alternative, following from his staunch cut on Expansion Pack with Def
Digital. Proving that progressive house isnt the only genre he excels in, Blinky closes the release out in style
with a driving peaktime techno stormer that is sure to be a hit this Aussie summer.
But thats not all: a wicked exclusive Dima Gafner edit will also follow on Depth Perception in February.
