With the release of the 'Broken Research II' compilation, Motech Records continues in it's pursuit to expand beyond the unwritten boundaries of electronic music. While many of Motech's 12' and artist released full lengths are dance floor oriented, the 'Broken Research' series is a more dedicated experience meant for the listener rather than the dancer. 'Broken Research II' expands further on the idea put forth by its predecessor. This compilation shows off the wide reach of Motech Records talent ranging from jazz fusion to spoken word to heady electronic to downtempo and hip hop. Much like the original, 'Broken Research II' adheres to DJ 3000's original principle of 'keeping it in-house,' as all of the tracks on this compilation are from close friends and associates of the Motech Records label.
