The Celtec Twinz, twin brothers Mark and Richie Thompson, have been releasing records since early 2004 on established labels such as Advanced (UK), Naked Lunch (Por), Parallel 125 (Por) and N&N (Ire), as well as host of remixes on other imprints. Their unique style and hard work rate saw them invited to pilot for the 2006 "in New djs we trust" show on BBC radio one. Their positive attitude and natural talent has given them the platform to showcase their "in the Studio" production skills and "for the Dance floor" dj skills. With each year, they go from strength to strength which is evident in their first release on Firefly Recordings. DiDaDoe (they wont tell us what it means!) has two mixes from the brothers. Mix 1 is a squelchy, big bass electronic mosh pit with quirky percussion and beats designed to mess with head. Not content with providing us with just one style, Celtec produced Mix 2 which is a slab of melodic, bass driven techno coupled with a haunting piano line and a little bit of the DiDaDoe squelch-ness thrown in for good measure. Firefly residents Thrash Jelly are on remix duties, providing a stripped down, groovy dance floor number, putting the finishing touches to an extremely interesting EP.
