Based in Dubai, Darko De Jan is anew artist for us in 2012. and one that we are more than a little excited about.. With two originals and two remixes in this first package, Desert Safari is first through the gates... lots of funky drums and percussion , a low end bass and subtle but enchanting ethnic vocals make up the backbone her, with darkos excellent production keeping things interesting. The remix of this one comes from Chris Drifter, a rolling beat and bass combo, with tweaked subtle drums, acid influences and busy dotty melody lines woven throughout .. heads down stuff! The Chant is darkos second track, again his trademark dynamic drums and percussion are present, but in a more understated way.. real stringed instruments and keys add terrific melody as the track sways and swaggers as floaty distant female vocals enter in the breakdown. Cristian Poow gives us his take on things for the remix , a busier peak time with powerful synths and moving bassline and pretty large breakdown.. something totally different to the other mixes here
