Every now and then a track rises above the rest and gets mythical status, especially with those that don't have it. You may be wondering how `not having a track' is still possible in nowadays digital era? Well, the reason is called `vinyl only'. Maxim Lany's `Cuncambias' is such a track. Released end of 2010 on We Play House Recordings `Red' edition of its vinyl only series the 600 copies flew out in a matter of weeks without any kind of typical promo: no promo download, no handing out of white labels, no big time DJ's charting it. And when the likes of Jamie Jones and Seth Troxler started playing it, thus confirming that they DO follow vinyl releases, the questions soon came: "When will this be released?" It already is, but gone. "When is the digital release planned?" There is none, it's vinyl only. "Can you please send me an MP3?" No. And so `Cuncambias' became part of the growing legion of WPH Discogs price madness and a coveted item for those who were wise enough to get their copy fast. But no more of that, because Lany Recordings is very happy to announce that it will re-release `Cuncambias' on a limited one-sided vinyl release (250 copies) and as a much-requested digital release as well. Courtesy of We Play House Recordings, making it the only WPH release ever to be licensed for a vinyl re-release on another label. As a little bonus We Play House Recordings head honcho Red D made an extra track to go along with `Cuncambias', dedicating it to his long-time friend and Lany Recordings label boss Maxim Lany, aptly titled `Max D'. Enjoy it and play the f*ck out of it! ...
