No-one can deny that the breakbeat has made a huge comeback in the world of dance music over the past few years, not least within the post-dubstep sound that's increasingly becoming known as future bass music. iBreaks is proud to present the label's debut foray into the 140bpm future jungle genre with the firing floor-filler Confusion from critically-acclaimed UK producer Jurassik, backed with a huge remix from fellow Brit Shakes. Confusion is an amen-fuelled belter featuring deep pads, a hypnotic synth refrain, killer vocal snatches, brooding reese bass and tearing drums that has already picked up support from UK bass music don RackNRuin among others. This is one to send the bodies flying around the room. Jurassik was named by Beatport last year as a producer to watch in 2011, and it's easy to see why on this accomplished iBreaks Bass debut. On the flip, Shakes delves even deeper but also ups the tempo for a distinctly tearout-tinged reworking. Two absolutely bangers which will sit well in the boxes of future jungle acolytes while also turning fans of more traditional breaks onto the new sound. iBreaks are giving away a free dubstep version of the Shakes mix to promote the release - watch out for it on the blogs and the iBreaks Facebook page at (url) in the next few days.
