From 80s slo-mo funk to loopy house grooves, Australia's own Jad & The Ladyboy represent all things soulful and groovy.While new to Gazeebo Int'l, Jad & The Ladyboy are no newcomers to the music scene. Perhaps they are better known for their collaboration as Mitzi, which includes Jad Lee and Dominiqe Bird along with band member's Charlie Murdoch and Cale Suesskow. Currently signed to Aussie label giant Future Classic, the boys are taking the Australian scene by storm with their unique brand of garage disco, NYC indie with the light-heartedness of Australian pop.The "Closer" EP is pure soul but what we like most about this release is Jad & The Ladyboy's ability to combine soul, disco, funk and house together with a warm and deep feel. Loyal groovers at heart, the boys are obviously devoted to preserving that classic sound which seems to be a lost art these days.
