With a seemingly never-ending conveyor belt of techno production talent coming out of Italy it is a credit to the creativity and hard work of Sasha Carassi that his work can be counted in the upper echelons of his compatriot producers with releases on Weave Music, Terminal M, Sleaze Records. Chemistry, as is fitting for such a title, brings together elements from across the techno palette to create a fusion of funky, bass-heavy tech and the darker, atmospheric sounds that carries plenty of main floor punch. Minds Up strips things back with a heavy percussive feel that provides the perfect backdrop to the intense electronic bleeps and squeaks that build and build towards a main crescendo before releasing its pent up energy. Pyramidal closes out the EP with a suitably epic journey through soaring soundscapes that combine bags of tense big-room energy with a special hypnotic ambiance to make a weapon for main room and open air sets.
