As 2012 begins, Stories In Trance returns to kick off the new year with release number Sixteen, and the second original track from Ivan Sognatore- we present to you Buena Vida. Here we have a perfect Stories In Trance release, a quite stunning example of the ideology we pride ourselves on, combining the opportunity for new talent Ivan Sognatore to showcase his work, balanced against two strong remixes from established trance producers. First up is Ivan's original, and building upon the success of his debut track back in October last year (A Way Through The Woods, SIT 13), Ivan gives us a worthy follow up in the beautifully uplifting Buena Vida. If Ivan continues to create tracks of this standard and beyond, and believe in his talent, a promising future producing trance lies ahead. In support of the original we have two absolute epics. The first remix comes from a modern trance master and one of Italy's finest ever EDM producers, Luca Lombardi. Stories In Trance is always proud to work with Luca and once again he delivers a remix that is nothing short of superb. Taking the already beautiful lead melody as the platform, Luca somehow makes it glow even more by crafting more movement into the piece as a whole, and with his mastery of using layers to progress a track it continues to surprise and delight all the way through with those definitively delicate interchanging layers creating subtle evolution to the feel of the track. This is pure gold from Luca. The second reinterpretation comes from the talented Polish producer A.R.D.I. (Adrian Wojcik), who after establishing himself over recent years with some great work on Silent Shore and Harmonic Breeze Recordings, serves up another strong piece for his ever impressive catalogue. Taking the track down a more potent, uplifting route, Adrian reinterprets the lead melody against a faster trance bassline and we are left with a big room stormer fit to fill any packed dancefloor. Stories In Trance aims to uncover the most talented and imaginative new producers and team up with some of the more established names in the scene to work together in evolving the sound. This release sticks firmly to our philosophy of not only showcasing a diverse range of sounds within trance, but also offering balanced releases by seeking out those that can interpret the original in a different way.
