When DJ Orion is not making glorious ambient soundscapes he is one of Finlands top dance DJs. After a fine release on our sister label Solaris we were pleased when his latest late night epic landed in our inbox. Here is teams up with J Shore for "Brotherhood". First up on the remix is a fine effort from fellow Finnish trance duo Ayleon, tight drums, big pads and fine peak-time trance production take the original melody into far-off, new places. Flight and Jontey are next up on a Progressive House tip, again emphasising the "American Dream-like" cinematic quality of the original melody but now set against a house underbeat. German favourite trance master DJ Taucher returns to the Hooj / Lost Language fold again with his growling, low-slung and moody trance. Things return to Finland for the Anton Sonin version, stabby pads and a neat use of the piano melody over darting arpeggios and solid 4/4 trance beats. Of course we have saved the best until last, Juska and Joonas present their haunting original, swathed in ambient moods and subtle emotional melody.
