Ranging from the deep through tech, tribal, filtered and more energetic big room beats this EP offers enough variety to cater for a wide range of musical tastes and gives you a sample of things to come from Broken Records. Italian producer Neuroxyde wont need any introduction to most techno and tech house fans after tracks like Jazzy Stuff and Yebo Yebo have dominated download charts. Home and Hosed will rival anything youve seen from him before. Its a tribal monster that has all of the elements of something you might hear in a Luciano set but with that trademark loopy Neuroxyde touch. This record is a sure fire crowd pleaser, and once youve heard it you wont forget it. Next up is Uner, a guy whos been delivering solid deep and tech house for a couple of years now on wicked labels such as Diynamic and 20:20 Vision. El Vuelo is another example of why hes so sought after for his original productions and remixes. A deep, techy house number with warm stabs and building strings held together with a looping sub bass line. This track is a smooth as silk with enough energy to keep youre feet tapping all night. It might not feel much like summer at the moment but Italian producer Da Lukas has certainly managed to capture its essence here. Maggot Brain is a sample fuelled filtered house belter that oozes character and funk. It twists and turns throughout the track with a breakdown bringing a vocal echoing Boris Werners Lets Boogie. A great track to put smiles on faces and hands in the air. Completing the EP and our third Italian offering comes from NDKj, who proves that a simple hook really is all you need as the base of a track. This loopy tech house cut has more get up and go than a bowl of steaming hot Ready Brek. It has all of the builds, drops and drums of a four to the floor techno track with a funky little bass loop to keep it rolling and some Rhodes licks for good measure. This baby has the funk.
