As Long Distance Recordings comes up to it's three year anniversary, there's no better time to look back upon the label's most innovative and exciting releases. A remastered full 18 track collection will be available around August/September, but in the meantime... here's a sneak preview of 4 of the tracks contained on the album. First up, Mic Newman's wonderous house take of The Sargent's "La Lacuna" turns a tech trance record into a throbbing funk infused house hybrid. Next, our very own Mortlock continues his fine form with an exclusive track to this release called "Daydreams". Australian turned European star Deepchild turns in one of the first remixes released on LDR with a ska/reggae infused version of Mark Dynamix and Namito's sublime "Salt" and finally Danny Bonnici teams up with Habersham and Komposit with what could only be described as one of the most understated yet innovative ambient/deep house records of the last few years. Look out for the full compilation coming to your favourite online store August/September 2011.
