John Davis & The Monster Orchestra was one of the seminal disco groups during the prime disco years of the late 70s. Hailing from Philadephia, John did all his best work at the renowned Sigma Sound Studios. Bourgie Bourgie was a collaboration with his good friends Ashford & Simpson and was released on the Monster Orchestras homebase label, Sam Records on 1979.
With the nu-disco movement gaining strength a full generation later, 2011 feels like the right time to give this disco classic an updated treatment. Catz 'n Dogz are one of the leading production team in the evolving nu-disco genre, and put a fresh innovative touch onto Bourgie Bourgie.
