Hungarian deep house mastermind Adam Byrd, a long-standing contributor to Silk Textures, returns with the poetically entitled EP "Born Into A New Word." The title cut begins with a floating atmosphere and a shuffling rhythm; soon thereafter, a strong, "vintage" deep house beat kicks in, and jazzy undertones seize the track. The tracks continues to glide into the main break, where the beats suddenly drop out, and a soothing and sultry female monologue ensues. Accompanied by a variety of a string effects, this spoken-word solo is followed by a strong drop, in which a variety of synth stabs accompany a frisky beat. The b-side, "On the Ground," initially centers on a glitchy rhythm and a harmonically rich vocal sample (a female vocal stab of the word "one"). At the quarter turn, we are met by a sexy, heavily reverb'ed Spanish guitar, as well as a few "distant" piano lines, which evoke an erotic mood. In the main break, the guitar comes into full focus, as well as a variety of highly innovative rhythmic and atmospheric effects. The tune finds a true groove following the drop, as the various effects unite to form a deeply sensual soundscape.
