The canadians are still coming on strong. This second release on Akufen's label carries more ironi cheese than a fully stocked smorgasbord. Think of Nu Groove's Barnyard Orchestra sampling Bukka White's 'Come on all you women...' and you're getting close. This is whomping, stomping house with big borrows from what sounds like the good Doctor Isaiah Ross, on mouth harp, vocals and scintilling strings. Akufen himself weighs in a 'mornin' dump in the bush of god' mix - a fine choice of harmonica player for this country blues pumper. Blame Canada, indeed..
