In advance of her debut album Black Pearl on Contexterrior, Berlin’s Bloody Mary selects four of the record’s key cuts for this dancefloor-friendly EP. The upbeat gallop and twinkling sheen of “Sed non Satiata” underscore a guest spot from Señor Coconut vocalist and Cadenza producer Argenis Brito, while “Moetstra et Errabunda” takes things deeper with a swingy electro stomp. On the flip, Danton Eeprom (Freak N Chic, Rekids) adds his sexy, distorted growl to Mary’s cavernous beats for “Semper Eadum”, one of the album’s funkiest tracks. Finally, she pays tribute to Detroit with the smooth and somber “Duellum”. These four productions -- conceived by Bloody Mary with studio help from her friend Sierra Sam and Contexterrior boss Jay Haze – offer a wide-ranging glimpse into the forthcoming full-length.
