This is the third release from Captain Magic and the final release from Benefit before we see out 2011. The Captain has only been releasing for a year but he's already had great feedback from big hitters like Umek, Peo De Pitte, Far Too Loud and the Loops of Fury. This new single is another twist on his unique minimal electro style. 'Black Flag' is four minutes and thirty seven seconds of rowdy, minimal electro, squeezing in all manor of styles and taking a lot of influence from the classic rolling techno synths of the 90s, yet managing to sound like something quite new. Backing it up is a monstrous, rollicking release from Italy's Un:Code, a man who has recently been seen in the indie dance 10 must chart chart on Beatport and with this mix you can see why. Un:Code is one of the new breed of raw electro house producers who has racked up an impressive CV of releases, working with ultracool labels like No Sense Of Place, Fresh Pump and Ventuno. Big things indeed.
