Jose de Divina and Javi Murdok's Climatic Sound imprint has, over past 18 months, established itself as one of the most exciting new labels to come out of the Balearic's, in both its choice of music and artists. Having first made an appearance on the label back in June, with their 'Enlightening' EP, Palermo duo Cristian Viviano & Antonio Castello make a welcome return with their 'Best Way For Escape' EP. Cristian's first productions gained him much success on the download charts and lead to John Digweed tipping him as a producer to watch. 2009 saw him win awards in his homeland for his DJ'ing, and 2010 got off to the finest of starts when his was asked by Alex Neri to join the Tenax family. Antonio Castello has made a name for himself through his tireless work, DJ'ing on the London party circuit. Having moved there to further his musical career, he was taken under the wing of Toni D, resident of London's premier after-hours, Kubicle. Having held residencies at 'Zum' and Bristol's 'Bump', Antonio has honed his sound. A clash of cultures, where Latin meets Middle Eastern influence. Those influences can all be heard in their originals today. 'Clear The Way' comes with its dubbed out, low-slung groove. Extravagant bongo work and eastern sounds weave a hypnotic and sinister web. Their Dub utilises many of the original's elements, whilst adding the toughest of kick drums and classic house sounds. 'Sicilian Pride' continues the dubby, bongo-lead theme, and seems to incorporate a didjeridu into its breakdown. On the remix Climatic Sound welcome back, Leix. The Spanish producer brings a tougher kick drum, a combination of Rhodes stabs and riffs, and a the dubby bassline, that helps develop a devastating groove throughout.
