Back in January we brought you the latest production from our very own Satoshi Tomiie, under his MES alias. 'Back To Basics', backed by its remixes from Motorcitysoul, was an instant success and found huge support from many. Today we return with a new set of remixes including another from Satoshi himself. For our new set of mixes on 'Back To Basics', we welcome two of the most exciting young remix talents of today. Leading the package though is that brand new 'Satoshi Tomiie Dub' mix. Staying true to the original, Satoshi's Dub keeps things on a deeper level. The live bassline works its magic through the breaks, and melody and organ stabs appear in the final third. First of the remixers is Berlin's André Lodemann, who is still riding high from the success of his 'Still Dreaming' single on Freerange, and his wonderful remix of Darko Esser's 'Balans' on Wolfskuil. His brand of melodic deep house is a perfect fit for 'Back To Basics', as he creates a expansive, almost floaty feel in his mix. The warm throb of the bassline is met with the original's melody and drama , though never peaking, is created by his use of the organ and synth lines. Fabio & Lorenzo are Italian production duo Mabaan Soul. Known for running legendary afterhours parties and playing the finest nightspots in Tuscany, the pairs first release, their 2009 Metroline Ltd EP, found them a great level of support from some of the DJ world's biggest names. Their 'Back To Basics' remix has a Chicago flavour, with its straight up beats, synth and key stabs, long break and female vocal, its set to be a favourite for many.
