Following bombs from Christian Smith and Dosem in January, Tronic welcome Jay Lumen on board for a debut for Smiths bourgeoning label. Having been a consistent supporter of Jays recent output for Great Stuff, Form, Mistakes Music and 100%% Pure, it was a priority for Christian to sign a Lumen release ASAP and so it is with great excitement that Tronic present his Babel EP so early in 2012. Whatever You Want kicks off this two-track EP, setting a percussive feel and deep intensity to create a low-slung groove of shunting beats and floor-shaking sub-bass tones that contrasts with the shimmering melodic hypnosis in the break. Babel counters with an up-tempo, percussive workout that draws its diverse elements from a melting pot of sampling delights. Unintelligible garbled speech, Arabian horns, deliciously off-kilter bass notes this has it all!
