Burgeoning Madrid based imprint Depaart has been slowly building up a loyal underground following of late, with recent offerings such as Gorgeous Loose Feelin EP finding favour in influential circles. This time around, its the turn of fellow label head Moliner to deliver the goods, a task he fulfils with distinction on the imprints latest, his As Become EP. The release springs to life immediately courtesy of the title track, a melodic, groove soaked record thats primed for summer time dance floors. The warm pads and lackadaisical vibes only add to its overall appeal too, topping off a record thats brimming with multiple dexterous qualities. Deep City Grooves approach is less ethereal, in spite of the fact that it cleverly maintains the originals flourishing synth line. The latter is paired with a retro-tinged, house-flavoured bassline, and is precisely the sort of record that neatly emphasises the Belfast producers standing. Relative newcomer Guri AKA Andreu Moya strips the original back a notch or two, as he lets a cascading hook, a chopped vocal a few swelling synths do most of the talking. Raw and colourful, this is a package for those who like their house music with a heavy dose of class involved.
