For those who don't know, poni hoax are a 5-piece band playing a barroco pop-disco-rock mash up with titanium drums, stiff guitars and acid synths. For what we know, they might rule the world of synth rock bands very soon with their new upcoming album 'images of sigrid'. And we have a few arguments : − together with french producer joakim, they went to record the new album in the amazing old Barclay's studio - where no gear is less than 30 years old - once used to record cheesy 70s disco, and also jacques brel.. − Laurent Bardainne actually knows how to write a good song. − their singer Nicolas Ker didn't give up on his life of excess but nonetheless he applied Scott Walker's advise to get classical vocal training with an alto monk singer. Ker likes to say this is their own 'the queen is dead', i would rather say this is their 'nevermind homework off the wall'. This 12" single includes the first song taken from the album, Antibodies. It is just a little appetizer to make you hungry. And we know you'll be starving very soon.
