Roddy Reynaert has made a strong comeback to the scene of progressive house and trance in 2012. He's had several releases on leading progressive labels such as Anjunadeep, Colorize / Enhanced Music and Intricate as well as gained support from names such as Armin van Buuren, Above and Beyond, Markus Schulz, Gareth Emery, Andy Moor, and Jaytech ... 2012 also became the year of Ifonika -- Reynaert's own moniker and his own label.
Ifonika Recordings stands for quality progressive music and is not only an outlet for Roddy's own material but also a place for friends to release their records. The first release is of course by no other than the man himself.
Belverin is a typical feel-good progressive track a la Roddy Reynaert. Expect a long but extremely drawing build-up with a good house club groove. The breakdown is pure "hands in the air" with the main melody leaving behind a smile on ones face.
The flip side follows the tradition of being radically different. Annie is darker and keeps pushing forward with an ongoing loop followed by a break of synthetic goodness.
Belverin and Annie are the first of many great things to come on Ifonika!
