Friends since spawn, the frogs began DJing after failing to impress on the boy-band scene. This was due in part to follicular irregularities and a rare case of vicious Tourette's. Dr. Fox was less than impressed, "...you boys are utter shite!"
However, the duo didn't see these issues as obstacles on the dj circuit, so they learnt how to count to four and bought some shit records. After realising there was more to music than first appeared they set off on a wonderful adventure of fun and fantasy, evolving into musically-bound frogs trapped in socks filled with low slung, trashy, dungaree-wearing house music.
The first to notice their tyrannical genius was none other than Andrew Weatherall, signing their remix of Two Lone Swordsmen's 'Shack 54' to his Rotter's Golf Club label. FiS have since whipped their greasy greens over labels such as Erase, Death Proof and Southern Fried Records, with EP releases lined up on all outfits over the next few months.
First up though, after months buried deep in the swamp, eating flies and making tracks, FiS are back with an EP on Jamie Andersons ARTHOUSE imprint!
All I Need is their favourite and most adventurous EP yet. The title track fuses the sounds of San Francisco, the Reeperbahn and Bristol into a beautiful monster, whilst the O&A remix bumps and chugs in their signature, stripped back style. In the Dark', conceived dancing on bales of hay in a Secret Garden Party, is the twisted organ lead b-side featuring the delicious vocal tones of Georgie Rodgers of 6music and amazing radio fame.
Radio presenter, DJ and Cat Lovers promoter Georgie Rogers has lent her vocals to In The Dark after meeting FiS at Secret Garden Party. A weekend jaunt to Manchester followed months later and out of that session a handful of tracks were born, of which In The Dark is one.
Georgies a freelance music journalist for BBC 6 Music, has hosted the Amazing Radio breakfast show for two years and presents for Secret Sessions.
