Steve Lawler's VIVa MUSiC return with another DJ only campaign and another label debut for an exciting, upcoming new talent. This time its the turn of Chilean, Rodrigo Laffert. Hailing from the recently earthquake ravaged city of Concepción, Laffert began his DJ career back in 1999. Alongside good friends Manuel Araneda & Pedro Campos, he became a key player in the city's cultural scene. His great technical skills and fantastic musical taste won him sets at the finest clubs in the city, as well as his very own radio show in neighboring Pucón. As a producer Rodrigo has seen his music released on Canadian labels 'London Music' and 'Nocturna Music', and most recently on fellow countryman Francisco Allendes & Marcelo Rosselot's imprint 'Andes Music'. Today he makes his debut on VIVa MUSiC with a strong five track EP, showcasing his talent for creating strong grooves and utilizing the sounds and samples of his region. The Latin influence abounds, with bouncy basslines, brass sections, keys and even a flute, all working in perfect harmony with the excellent vocal samples.
