After one and a half decade and more than 350 releases, Compost Records bundles some of their finest tunes as Various Artists digital download compilation albums. The variety and full spectrum of Composts repertoire has never or rarely been presented in form of a musical genre compilation. These releases will be compiled or DJ-mixed by Composts artists and are available as digital downloads, except in some rare cases very very limited as 500 CDs. Rupert & Mennert - their real names are Ruben Koster and Menno Jager, born 1976 and 1977, and they are friends since a long time and were always interested in music. Their common passion for music is the fundament for all their musical activities. Collecting music, DJ sets, radioshow, live bands and as producers they started collaborations with local and international musicians and producers. They are participants of a local Jazz foundation, called Nieuw & Diep (translated: new & deep, but also Den Helder is called Nieuwendiep) Together with producer Me Raabenstein (Nonine Recordings) they are Lagerfeltz (release 2010). They collaborate with Jazz singer Saskia Oving, harp player Mirjam Rietberg, harmonica virtuoso Arnoud Deyll, big band conductor Frank van Gemert. Also Mike 'Skwerl' Beim is in the circle. Besides that, they just did a remix for Energie du Verre on Batterie Records
