What is house music? This is a question that goes way back to the early 90s and was first asked by DJ Pierre under his Phuture Scope alias. Well mainly it started way back in the late 70s in Chicago in the Warehouse where Frankie Knuckles mixed Disco Tunes and gave them a straight 4-to-the floor push with a drum machine. Other roots are the Detroit techno movement and of course the vibrant dance culture of NYC with its clubs like the Paradise Garage or Loft, but we guess you have heard all about it. From there the music spread all over the world and nowadays house music has even become mainstream music.
We, the house music preachers from Clubstar Records (Germany), want to give the world an inside view of the house music sound of today. Of course we will not open every pigeonhole, that is why we decided to focus on three of the main styles of the current house music sound. The 100% House Music - Pure Club Sounds compilation is compiled by Clubstar Records A&R Henri Kohn and features 15 peaktime house tracks/songs. The compilation presents the who-is-who of the house scene, with artists like Kevin Andrews, Lenny Fontana, Syke'N'Sugarstarr, Danny Tenaglia and Mark Wilkinson V RedSoul Ft Andrea Love. Francesco Farfa from Italy, James Talk from the UK and Markus Doerr from Germany are on board. As you can see it is a global movement. The german house diva and singer-songwriter Miss Ann-P is featured three times on this compilation, with her cooperations with Dan Martin, Henri Kohn and Matthew Sanders.
As a special bonus treat you will get a continuous dj mix
by Henri Kohn, if you purchase all 15 tracks.
