After the the industrial soundscape of the Perc release, Ovum brings you a release from Chicago House Legend DJ Sneak. It is an honor to finally have an original release from our longtime friend after all of these years.
While talking with Sneak we were told of unreleased, forgotten tracks that he had unearthed from his archives. He sent us a selection and thus the Acido EP was spawned. The tracks represent the real, raw Chicago sound in all of its forms.
First track on this EP is Acid Digestion. A track that takes us back to the sounds of pure Chicago jack. With a horn that is set to drive any crowd insane, it was Josh, who after a quick edit, wanted to bring us the 2009 version of Acid Digestion.
Acido is raw acid house at its finest. Sneak delivers a driving 303 gem that taks us back to his early Relief releases and his work as Triple Fat Systems on Strictly. After playing it out, Josh again gave it a tweak, and has prepared it, ready to rock your floors.
Artisticus is raw funked out DJ Sneak at his best. This captures the essential feel of the man. His use of the guitar loop drives the track creating a devastating groove that builds until the catchy vocal stab rockets it skyward.
An amazing three tracker from a true legend.
